上周末，一架俄罗斯无人机击中了罗马尼亚加拉茨市的一栋大型公寓楼。爆炸造成一名妇女和一名儿童受伤，当地居民感到非常恐慌。
罗马尼亚派出战斗机前去支援，但未能击落该无人机。 该市紧邻乌克兰边境，因此军队从发现无人机到作出反应仅有几分钟时间。专家还指出，高速战斗机并非对付小型慢速无人机的合适工具。若飞行员在大型城市上空击落无人机，危险的残骸可能会坠落并造成更多人员伤亡。
俄罗斯无人机此前曾越境，但这是首次有无人机在北约国家造成平民伤亡。目前，罗马尼亚正请求北约迅速提供更先进的防御武器，以弥补防空漏洞并保护民众安全。
