阿尔巴尼亚总理埃迪·拉马表示，该国只有一个主要目标：加入欧盟。阿尔巴尼亚自2014年起便开始寻求加入欧盟，但这一进程非常缓慢。
拉马认为欧盟需要修改其规则。 他希望候选国能像家庭中的孩子一样，在通过所有“考试”之前，尽早与欧盟领导人同桌商谈。如果进程拖得太久，人们就会失去希望。届时，像俄罗斯这样的不良势力和国家就会煽动民众对欧盟的仇恨。拉马以摩尔多瓦为例，指出俄罗斯正竭力试图改变当地民众的思想观念。
拉马还表示，欧洲领导人必须开始与俄罗斯对话以停止乌克兰战争，因为每个民主国家都需要和平。
