这些新增电力的绝大部分将直接供应给这些大公司。但这些公司却将输电线路铺设在普通家庭的后院里。施工人员砍伐了数百棵树木，破坏了原本美丽的景观。

当地房主们非常愤怒，因为他们的房屋价值大幅缩水，而且无法出售。 电力公司虽向这些家庭提供了补偿，但他们表示这笔钱不足以购买新房。房主们感到自己无力阻止公司，因为法律允许公司征用私人土地。
