新流程所需时间比以前更长。 每人需额外花费三十秒。由于每天有数千人出行，欧洲主要机场正排起长队。有些人不得不等待长达五小时，甚至因此错过了航班。
造成这一困境的原因在于，各国使用的软件各不相同，且旅客在抵达机场安检处之前无法在线提前做好准备。 希腊目前仍被允许保留原有的护照检查方式。机场负责人希望在繁忙的夏季旅游旺季暂停使用新系统，以方便旅客。
